Profs. McFie (l) and Sperling study induction notice

Dr. David Sperling (r), founder of Strathmore University and research professor, has been awarded Elder of the Burning Spear, the highest citizen honor in Kenya, by President Mwai Kibaki. Dr. James McFie, accounting professor, was awarded a Moran of the Burning Spear. The awards were given in recognition of their “achievements and distinguished service to the nation.” The prestigious honors are given annually in recognition of outstanding and distinguished services rendered to the nation in various capacities.
